The wedding ceremony will be held on the 13th, Saturday.
However since (almost) all of you (and us) are flying in from abroad, we arranged accommodation for both Friday and Saturday. We would like you to have enough time to settle in and explore the surroundings, or spend some time in the center.
On Friday we are planning some activities you can attend to :) Starting in the afternoon, and optional for everyone. We will share a detailed agenda regarding both Friday and Saturday latest in March.
Yes, the ceremony and all communication will be in English.
The 5th District is the best neighborhood to stay in Budapest. It offers plenty of attractions and loads of restaurants and cafés to enjoy.
Deak Ferenc square is the most central location, with all 4 metro lines stopping there. Public transport in Budapest is generally very good.

The wedding ceremony (12:00 - 16:00) will be held outside. The rest of the day will be around the hotel, which means we will be half inside / half in the garden.
Due to limited capacity, we decided not to include any plus ones.
Yes! We’ve made sure the menu includes options for everyone. If you have specific allergies, let us know.
Most places take cards, but it’s always handy to have a bit of cash. Hungary does not use the Euro, so best to take out cash at an ATM.
No stress — the hotel is open 24/7. You can check-in whenever you arrive.
We kindly ask you not to. We've got a photographer capturing everything, so you can relax and just enjoy the moment.
Since the hotel is in a quiet residential area, there are no restaurants or shops closeby. (the closest shop or restaurant is a nice 20 min walk)
The hotel is close to Normafa, which is great place for hiking and there are daily activities around that area.
The hotel is located 30 minutes by bus from the city center.
There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel which makes getting around easier, if you plan to do something.
Tips & info for Budapest city
Taxi : Bolt, CityTaxi or Fotaxi
Public transport tickets: BudapestGO (make sure you always have a valid ticket on Public transportation. The checks are frequent and the fines are big.)
Food/Groceries order: Wolt
At most places, you can pay by card, but smaller shops only accept cash. Always check the prices and that you payed the correct amount.
Hungary does not use the Euro, so best to take out cash at an ATM.
We recommend only using ATMs attached to an official bank.
We recommend using the airport bus 100E.

There is a taxi station as well at entrance (Fotaxi). It is very convenient, but a ride will cost around 30 EUR, and not much faster than the bus.
Budapest is pretty safe overall but be aware of pickpocketers, and don't leave your belongings unattended.
For woman, best not to wander around in the evening in streets that are not the main streets.
Despite all news, Budapest is very liberal, the chosen governer is also not part of the Fidesz party.
You will see billboards with EU leaders, Zelensky and other liberal leaders the hungarian government (Fidesz party) tries to alienate and blame for Hungary's bad economic status.
You will probably also encounter some pro israeli propaganda. please always remember, this is govrenment propaganda, nothing else.

The hotel bar will be open on Friday 14:00-17:00, if you would like to have some coffee/tea. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, please count on this before arrival.
